Europäische Bildungsinitiative

The “Europäische Bildungsinitiative” EBI – (in English European Initiative for Education EIE) – is a Private Non Profit Education and Training Association located in Wiener Neustadt /Austria. EBI’s mission is to endorse an innovative approach to education, training and culture. Target groups are school teachers, teachers and trainers in general education as well, in adult education.

The two departments of the EBI are a teaching unit and a special research group. Regularly in these two departments work eight people.

Focus of the organisation

The trainers and assistance teachers are all graduated in ITC and experienced in project management, eLearning, Technology Enhanced Learning (and Teaching, TEL), Distance Learning, Online Distance Learning, and Blended Learning. They are routined in different kinds of education (IST-Trainings in the frame of Grundtvig or Comenius) and speak fluently English (at minimum C1-level). The EBI is a small organisation with specialists in teaching, quality management, multimedia and project management.

Courses

The association is involved in education of teachers and trainers in school education and adult education, and, furthermore, in research focusing on teaching methods (eLearning, Blended Learning and technology enhanced teaching). The EBI offers IST-Training Courses in eLeraning, Technology Enhanced Learning, Blended Learning, Multimedia Based Presentations, Project Management and Content Management Systems.

Projects

The association was involved in Grundtvig Learning partnerships and in a Multilateral Grundtvig Project (539717-LLP-1-2013-1-ITGRUNDTVIG- GMP Blended learning Quality) as well.
The association is well connected in Europe – this covers similar institutions as well as secondary schools and universities; besides it’s member of several organisations dealing with quality in teaching (for example EFQUEL). In Austria there are intensive contacts to technical and pedagogical universities as well as to other similar institutions.
