2.1.1. E-xcellence EADTU

eadtu descriptionThe Excellence was first developed and has been researched for about 20 years for open universities, then even for campus universities and even at program level. E-xcellence is used today in all areas of education, from K-12 through higher education to the VET (vocational education and training) sector. E--xcellence has the Creative Commons as CC BY NC ND. In consultation with EADTU, however, we have the above permission to use it and forward it to the school sector and for use here in VTT. The original framework is available from https://e-xcellence.eadtu.eu and the full manual, Image 3 can be downloaded  as here Download the third edition of the E-xcellence manual (2016)

The chapters of this third edition cover each of the six areas, and with an introduction and a glossary:

The instrument is based on the E-xcellence manual with benchmark statements with criteria and indicators. You will find the criteria and indicators in the manual. The structure of the instrument is identical to the sections in the manual and is divided into six sections. The third issue contains additional material reflecting new and current trends: the rapid rise of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), a growing interest in learning analytics and an increasing use of learning design in a more systematic approach to e-learning course development. A number of other topics that are not yet widespread have also been included, such as an increased focus on personalisation, blended learning, flipped approaches to teaching methods, virtual and remote laboratories, digital badges and e-portfolios.
