The pilot courses have been developed for several subjects, like science teaching, languages, or arts education.
The reason can be found in the pool of teachers involved in this project and the subjects they are teaching
Pilot courses as patterns for new courses
The developed courses are well-tested with students and evaluated by teachers – also from other schools. So they can be used as a model for the development of new courses (in the used subjects)
The project group has done some considerations for other subjects. Teachers who want to create new courses can follow the strategy of the pilot courses and copy the structure. This is valid for other subjects like chemistry or mathematics as well as for example for human sciences.
The developed pedagogical framework is versatile for almost all subjects taught in school education. This is valid for subjects like accounting (in vocational schools) as well. The problem in these subjects may be to find (or create) appropriate multimedia-based material, but the basics focusing on pedagogy are the same.
Using the toolbox
The toolbox provides a special tool to develop models for various courses (for all subjects) with a different duration of three, four of six weeks. These models (patterns or schedules) follow the experience and lessons learned from the developed pilot courses.
